Hospitality & Tourism Academy at John A. Ferguson Sr.

The goal of the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism is to provide students with opportunities which will prepare them for post-secondary education and careers through a theme-based, contextualized curriculum approach. Through participation in the Hospitality and Tourism Academy at John Ferguson Senior High students will gain comprehensive industry-related experiences, enabling them to understand the essential elements that make hospitality and tourism the number one industry in the world.

The academy will encourage students to invest their talent, skills, and knowledge in pursuing a career while maintaining the highest standards of personal conduct upholding their obligations as citizens. They will receive curriculum which has been articulated with post-secondary institutions, integrated with national skill standards and linked to industry-based certification. Minimum guidelines for acceptance include: completion of application, high motivation with a personal commitment to the program, completed application delivered in person to Ferguson Senior High.
