Mrs. Mindy Acosta-Leon
It is truly an honor to have been selected as Assistant Principal at John A. Ferguson Senior High. Previously, I had been the Student Services Chairperson and a proud founding member of the Ferguson family. I embark in my career as an administrator with great enthusiasm and desire to continue serving our students, teachers and community. John A. Ferguson Senior high has been a leading school since its commencement four years ago. I hope to continue working and forging ahead, towards high academic achievement for all of our students. |

Mr. Frank Cipriani
I am pleased to be coming back to the Kendall area from Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High School. I was born and raised in Miami and attended Killian High. My background is in social studies and I am a proud graduate of Florida State University. With the first graduating class of Ferguson upcoming, I just want to express my enthusiasm for the 06/07 school year. It is such a thrill to be a part of this unique experience. In addition, almost a hundred new teachers and an entirely new building pose many possibilities and some challenges. However, I don't let my heart be troubled because “No Goal's too High, Where Falcons Fly.”

Ms. Mercy Losada
It is a pleasure to be an Assistant Principal at John A. Ferguson Senior High School. Previously, I was an administrator at Riviera Middle School , Braddock Senior High, Paul Bell Middle School , West Miami Middle School , Arvida Middle School , and Southwood Middle School. I find the faculty at Ferguson to be professional, self directed, and focused on what they are about, which is educating the students. Moreover, I am pleased to see students who are capable of achieving high academic standards and are concerned with demonstrating appropriate conduct. Just like our first senior class, I too am eager to celebrate our school's first graduation ceremony. Indeed, “No Goal's Too High Where Falcons Fly!” |

Becoming Assistant Principal at John A. Ferguson Senior High has been an adventurous journey that I am pleased to be on. I have been an educator for more than 19 years in Miami-Dade County ; it was a privilege to have the opportunity to open Braddock and Coral Reef Senior High Schools. Being a part of the administration that will plan the first graduation at John A. Ferguson Senior High is something I look forward to. The students at Ferguson Senior High are proving to be some of the most motivated I have known and are ready to take advantage of the excellent opportunity afforded them. The academy concept which is a part of High School Reform allows our students to focus on those things that will best prepare them to enter and be successful in adult life. The “Dream Team” staff which has been assembled at Ferguson is second to none. They have been great, working for our students as we fine tune the work in progress of opening a new school. I am overjoyed to have the chance of working with the students, parents, staff and administration this school year and look forward to each of our students internalizing our theme of “No Goals Too High, Where Falcons Fly.”

I am very happy to be part of the Falcon family. Last school year, I came to Ferguson High School to do a four-month administrative internship. I really like the cohesive environment of the school and I was sad when my internship was over. Fortunately, I was given the opportunity to work here, first as a teacher and later as the Administrative Assistant. Previously, I worked as a teacher at Killian Sr. High School. I also worked for two years as an Assistant Principal of Community Education at Eugenia B. Thomas Elementary School. I look forward to continue working with the administration, faculty and staff, parents, and students. It is great to be part of the school where "No goal is too high". |
