This course is designed to provide an introduction to business organization, management, and entrepreneurial principles. Topics include communication skills, various forms of business ownership and organizational structures, supervisor/management skills, leadership skills, human resources management activities, business ethics, and cultural diversity.
DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
Throughout the year, students have many opportunities to participate in leadership development experiences, community service activities, exciting conferences, and competitive events. There are also several recognition programs and scholarships rewarding DECA students for their achievements.
